Dear Cedarbrae Families
It is hard to believe May is already upon us! We are busy preparing for many exciting events this month and are looking forward to a great end to the school year over the next two months.
On Friday evening many of our staff members had the pleasure of attending the Tsuut'ina Education Powwow. It was such an amazing event, and we were honored to be a part of this event with our families. Thank you to all the organizers and participants for welcoming us
It is Bear Witness Day on Friday May 10, and it is Spirit Bear's birthday. This is an important date in the history of Jordan's Principle at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. Celebrated annually, Bear Witness Day honours Jordan River Anderson and invites people of all ages to "Bear Witness" to ensure Jordan's Principle is fully implemented. We are inviting all students to bring a stuffed bear on Friday to commemorate this important day.

Wednesday May 8 - Hats on for Mental Health
This week is Mental Health Week in Canada and to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in schools Wednesday May 8, is Hats on for Mental Health. We encourage students and staff to wear a hat on this day to support mental health awareness.
URGENT Trickster Volunteers Needed
We require many more additional volunteers to support this amazing experience and have created a sign-up genius where volunteers can sign-up for different roles as part of the residency. If you do not currently have volunteer clearance, please see, or call us at the front office to support this process. There are some roles helping unload equipment etc., that do not require volunteer clearance for those interested.
Before and After School Care Registration
We are extremely excited that we can now offer this opportunity to our school community through Adventures Childcare. A reminder that registration is open.
2024 –2025 Kindergarten and Grade 1-6 Registration
We are already looking ahead to the 2024- 2025 school year and making plans to support our school community. If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten or will be new to grade 1-6 in the upcoming school year and have not had a chance to register yet, please do so on the school engagement website below. If you know someone looking to register their child in K-6, please direct them to the school, and we can support the registration process for the upcoming school year. We are so proud of our school community and look forward to welcoming new families for the upcoming school year.
If you will not be attending next year due to moving out of the area etc., please let the school know by replying to this email or calling the office.
