Weekly Message Oct. 30 - Nov. 3 | Halloween, Pumpkin Contest, Popcorn Fundraiser, Fun Lunch, Forms, Daylight Savings
Hello Cedarbrae Families,
We hope you all had a great weekend!
Halloween Happenings
On October 31, there will be a Halloween parade in the morning followed by some learning stations put together by the Grade 1/2 team and some Grade 5/6 students in the afternoon.
Students are invited to wear their costume to school or alternatively they can wear orange/black, or their pajamas instead! If your child is choosing to wear a costume, please ensure that it is something that allows them to still participate in all school activities, including physical education. No blood, gore, weapons, or face masks please.
We would like to kindly request that parents do not send food items to be distributed in classes. Being an allergy aware school, we do not distribute food to students.
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Time for our annual Cedarbrae Pumpkin Carving Contest! Show off your pumpkin carving skills by bringing in a carved/decorated pumpkin on Tuesday October 31st! Bring your pumpkin to the Learning Commons on Tuesday morning and the winner will be announced after our Halloween Happenings Tuesday afternoon. First prize will be a $25 Amazon gift card!
Popcorn Fundraiser – School Council
Cedarbrae School will be hosting a delicious Popcorn day on Wednesday, November 8! Students will have the opportunity to buy small sealed individual bags of Kernels Popcorn for $2.25. Students can pre-order the flavour and number of individual bags (forms were sent home on Friday) and return them to school by this Thursday, November 2. The Kernels Popcorn will be delivered to the school in sealed bags for the students to take home at the end of the school day on November 8.
