Dear Cedarbrae Families, 

Students have settled in quickly after our time away, and classrooms are once again full of energy, laughter, and learning. Teachers have shared how happy they are to see everyone back together and engaged in their routines. 

Our Halloween parade and gym activities were a highlight of the week! It was such a joy to see the creativity and excitement of our students as they showcased their costumes and participated in the fun activities in the gym.  

We are still finalizing the dates for Parent-Teacher Conferences and will share that information with families as soon as it’s confirmed. These meetings are an important time to celebrate student growth and discuss next steps in learning. 

CBE Online Forms – Due Now 

All families should have received a reminder email to complete their CBE online forms. Please log into your MyCBE account to access and complete them as soon as possible. 

Casino Volunteers Needed 

Our School Council is seeking volunteers for our upcoming casino night. The proceeds directly benefit students by funding: 

  • Updated technology 
  • Discounted field trips and free bussing 
  • Inspiring residencies such as Trickster Theatre and Pulse Dance 
  • Reduced-cost Outdoor School for Grade 5/6 families 
  • Extra gym equipment, new instruments, and other exciting learning opportunities

If your child will be absent or late, please call the Attendance Line: 403-777-8610. Include: 

  • Student Name 
  • Teacher Name/Grade 
  • Reason for Absence ​​​​​​​

Key Dates to Remember: 

  • November 4: School Council Meeting – 6:00 p.m. (All families are welcome!) 
  • November 7: Remembrance Day Activities & Virtual Assembly – students will participate in classroom reflections and a shared virtual ceremony to honour those who have served. 
  • November 8–12: Fall Break – No school for students. We hope everyone enjoys a restful week.  
  • November 17- 20: YMCA Eco School for Grade 5/6 Students
