Dear Families
We hope everyone had a wonderful fall break with those who matter most. It is a short week coming up and we look forward to this last stretch with students before the winter break!
Students have settled nicely into their learning routines and grade teams have been working together to regroup for learning to teach the literacy and math curriculum for each of their students. At our parent teacher conferences you would have talked to your child teacher about their progress so far and goals for the rest of the year. If you have any questions in regard to please reach out to your child's teacher.
Rock your Mocs Day
November 15 is Rock your Mocs Day. Students are invited to wear moccasins to school on this day. If you have Social Media, you can check the hashtag #RockYourMocs to see what’s happening worldwide!
Winter Concert
It's that time of year again, and while nobody wants to think about the snow, we're excited to announce our Winter Concert! The event was a huge success last year and we're looking forward to seeing everyone back this year, on Thursday December 12. This year there will be an evening concert as well as the option to attend the morning performance if necessary due to scheduling conflicts. More information and official invitations will be coming soon!

Safety and Parking Reminders
A reminder that the area in front of the school is a school zone and that a strict speed limit of 30 mph is in place and U-Turns are prohibited. We have a busy crosswalk in the mornings and after school and want to ensure safety for all students and families using this. Also, a reminder that the staff parking lot is not a designated drop-off or pick-up zone, and we ask families to use the designated zones and street parking when dropping students off.
Fees and Waivers
School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
You can find more information on the CBE school fees and waivers page.
