Dear Cedarbrae Families,
We hope everyone had a warm and cozy weekend. A reminder to dress for the weather when coming to school each day. We anticipate that all recesses will be held indoors this week as it will be below minus 20 and have planned activities in the gym and classrooms to keep students busy.
Last week at Cedarbrae we had a visit from our S4 Officer Constable VanWaes. Constable VanWaes will be teaching social emotional learning lessons in each classroom and will return again on February 11 and 20. Students were very engaged in lessons so far and were excited to get to meet Constable VanWaes. We are grateful to Constable VanWaes and Calgary Police Service for their support.
Staffing Update
Mrs. Ferguson started her leave last Monday and is excited to be welcoming her baby in the next couple of weeks. We would like to wish her well and thank her for her outstanding dedication and support this year at Cedarbrae. Though we will miss Mrs. Ferguson we are thrilled to welcome Ms. Madina Dushinski who will be covering her absence. Ms. Madina comes to us with several years teaching experince and is excited to work with the students, families, and staff in our wonderful school community.
Painting at Cedarbrae
We are excited that painting has officially started at Cedarbrae this afternoon. The painters will be working after school hours to eliminate the impact on school operations. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact the office.
