Dear Cedarbrae Families
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's hard to believe 2024 is coming to a close and we are two weeks away from winter break!
The Grade 4/5 students are busy gearing up for their visit to the military museum tomorrow. A special thanks to Mr. Lapierre and Mrs. Ferguson for planning this for students.
Cedarbrae School is buzzing with excitement this week as students and staff are busy preparing for our winter concert. We are excited for a great show and welcoming our families into the school for some holiday themed fun! Please make sure you RSVP to Ms. Goodridge on the form below your attendance. We encourage all families to attend the evening performance as students each have specific parts in the performance.
https://forms.office.com/r/MF0CkM9CU. Please arrive at 6:00 pm with your child so they can prepare for the concert. Families are welcome to go to the gym at this time. Please note there was an error on the invitation which noted for families to arrive at 6:15.

Tuesday December 17: Holiday Hat Day
Wednesday December 18: Holiday Sweater Day
Thursday December 19: Red and Green Day
Friday December 20: Pajama Day
Caroling
Thursday and Friday (Dec. 19 and ) we will meet in the gym at 9:45 to do some caroling before recess.
No Parking in the Bus Zone – Winter Weather has Arrived
We ask that families adhere to the signage outside the school and do not park in the designated bus zones. This has been challenging over the last week due to the colder weather. It is prohibited to park in the bus zone as this causes a lot of congestion and buses have been unable to pull in in the morning and after school, which poses a safety concern. Please make sure you park in the designated areas and use the crosswalk to cross safely in front of the school.
A reminder that the area in front of the school is a school zone and that a strict speed limit of 30 mph is in place and U-Turns are prohibited. We have a busy crosswalk in the mornings and after school and want to ensure safety for all students and families using this. Also, a reminder that the staff parking lot is not a designated drop-off or pick-up zone. Please use the designated zones and street parking when dropping students off.
Fun Lunches
Every Thursday. Please order by Saturday evening the week prior.
To order for your child(ren) please go to Health: Healthy Hunger
Attendance
Please inform the school if your child will be absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-8610. Please be sure to leave your child’s name, homeroom, and reason for absence on each message.
